Introduction of  Tsingshan Institute for Advanced Business Studies of Zhejiang University

 Tsingshan Institute for Advanced Business Studies of Zhejiang University (ZJU-TIABS) was established in early 2021 with the full support Tsingshan Holding Group, the world's leading private enterprise (ranking 279th in the Global 500). Inspired by Princeton Institute for Advanced Study (IAS)TIABS aims to create a new innovative platform supporting the worlds top economists and management scientists immersed themselves in academic research in China, and provide a shared space for fully open and creative cultural exchanges. TIABS committed to support international, forward-looking and original research under the leadership of its first executive dean Wu Xiaobo, who is a Qiushi distinguished professor of Zhejiang University.

Zhejiang University is located in Hangzhou, the capital city of Zhejiang Province, which is at the forefront of China’s market economy reform. As one of the six ancient capitals of China, it has a profound human history of more than 2,200 years as well as a beautiful natural environment with three world cultural heritages: Liangzhu cultural relics that exemplify the 5,000 years of Chinese civilization, the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal, the longest artificial canal in the world, and West Lake, where humanity and beauty blend together.
