During May 20 to June 7, the three-week Chinese and American Law Schools’ International Comparative Law Training undertook cooperatively by Guanghua Law School of Zhejiang University and Thomas Jefferson School of Law was officially opened. There were nearly 60 American students and as well as 20 students from Zhejiang University attend the training.
Besides the former four profession curriculums, the training pattern this time included platter course which embraced current issues concerning law. The training invited the dean of Thomas Jefferson School of Law Rudy Hasl and the U.S. second circuit court judge Pierre Leval specially to arrange some open classes.
Outside the class, there were some activities including tour in Beijing and Xian and a visit in China's judicial system and government offices.
As a success exchange activity, learning from each other was crucial. American students learned Chinese culture, history and judicial system, meanwhile students from Zhejiang University experienced America’s situational teaching and knowledge about law.
