Professor William F. Pinar from University of British Columbia Gave a Lecture in the College of Education

 

On the afternoon of March 27, Professor William F. Pinar visited the research institute of Curriculum and Teaching in the College of Education.
     Starting with the importance of curriculum research, Professor William F. Pinar proposed two questions: how to do the curriculum research and why. In addition, the current situation of curriculum research was so concerning that researchers should question the status quo behind the problems. Then Professor Pinar analyzed the social background and influence of curriculum research in the US, revealing that in many high-tech companies in America, researchers didn’t have much recognition to the education.
