According to Zhejiang University 2010 Education and Teaching Plan and the conference on education and teaching held by vice president, LAI Maode and other leaders on April 4, 2010, Faculty of Social Sciences (FSS) made the following work schedule, which shall be strictly implemented by all academic units and disciplines confining to the real conditions.
In early April, Faculty of Social Sciences shall set up a leading group and map out work arrangement. Before April 12th, all academic units shall set up its own work program and carry out panel discussion among academic leader, young teachers, students and alumna so as to obtain advice and suggestion on education and teaching in late April. Before April 26, each academic union shall finish its first draft of the investigate report and send it to the bureau of Faculty of Social Sciences. By the end of April, Teaching and Academic Degrees Committee of FSS shall organize the academic units to exchange ideas upon their first report drafts and refine a draft for the whole faculty. In early May, the faculty and academic units should organize investigation and exchange activity outside school based upon the previous survey. During the period from late May to late October, the investigate repot and policy suggestions shall be further polished and refined according to work arrangement of school.
The investigate report shall cover the following aspects. 1. Comprehensively summarize major education experience and achievement made in teaching in the past decade. 2. Analyze new trend and new task in teaching and talent cultivation. 3. Analyze the existing problems and causes in the present teaching according to the unit’s own development strategy. 4. Put forward new ideas, new measures and key planning points for education and teaching in 2011-2015 through absorbing advanced ideas and experience from other academies and schools at home and abroad.
