During April 8 to 12, Dr. John Shuttleworth from University College Dublin visited the department of Physical Education in the College of Education, and opened a series of academic lectures for students.
Dr. John Shuttleworth achieved his PhD in Sport Management at the University of Alberta in Canada, and now was the director of the Research Centre for public health, recovery and population science, studying the sport management in the UK, Canada, Austrilia and Asia, and the setting of the curriculums of sport management in college.
Aiming at providing international teaching resources for the undergraduates of the sports industry and management, the lectures also opened for postgraduates, encouraging students from different levels to absorb excellent foreign practical experience and to accumulate treasure for profession development in the future. During the four days' lectures, Dr. John Shuttleworth cooperated with Dr. Zhou Lijun and gave a series of lectures from the view of Sport Management Ethics, Sport Governance, Sport Sponsorship, Work Sport and Leisure Relationship, Aviva Premiership and International Rugby Board Irb, each of which was heated in discussion. In the end, Dr. John Shuttleworth left his contract way to facilitate exchange and study in the future.
