Professor Wang Zhikai attended Mexico Forum and Washington Forum

 

During May 20 to 22, at the invitation of Inter-American Development Bank and Asia Development Bank, Professor Wang Zhikai of College of Economics attended the international forum about the path and challenge of fiscal decentralization in the countries around Asia Pacific, Pan American in Mexico City, and cooperative forum among countries in South Asia and South America in Washington on May 24. Hosting the second forum theme of Decentralization Overview on the first day, Professor Wang Zhikai addressed a report about China Fiscal Policy Review in the fifth forum on May 21, intriguing the representatives into the China fiscal policy.
     On May 24, by introducing re-decentralization in China, municipal debt problem and real estate tax, Professor Wang clarified the confusion about high-speed development of China, and resolved the possibility of further hype to China’s municipal debt problem stirred by international media.
    The visit was promising to help the expansion of the cooperation with Latin American Caribbean countries.
