On June 19, a delegation of 3 from University of North Texas including Professor Dale Yeatts, the former dean of the School of Sociology and Public Affairs, the associate professor Cready Cynthia, and the doctoral candidate Yang Chenchen visited the research group of the simulation of social security policy and the population data mining, introduced by Professor Mi Hong from the College of Public Administration Zhejiang University.
The exchange was centered on the co-development of the research group’s micro database. Professor Mi Hong and the members of the group comprehensively introduced the formation of the database, including the questionnaire design, questionnaire research, data entry, database construction and quality control, especially the quality control of the questionnaire. Then Professor Dale asked a few questions which intrigued them, and achieved satisfactory answers from the members. In the end, both sides discussed five research topics which were possible to cooperate in depth and reached some agreements.
