Nobel Laureate Robert Engle Symposium was Engaged as Honor Professor

 

On June 16, Professor Robert Engle, the Nobel Economics laureate, was engaged as an honor professor of School of Management. As the PhD in economics at Cornell University, the guest professor of Michael Armellino Financial Finance Department at New York University and a Novel Economics laureate, Professor Engle excels at the analysis of empirical model to the dynamic economic financial phenomenon, and created Model ARCH, Model GARCH and other original research achievements.
   On the symposium, Professor Engle shared the newest research output of systematical risk by the use of Vibrating Lab. Speaking highly of the development of Zhejiang Province, he expected the ongoing financial reform and encouraged entrepreneur to cooperate with international companies. Professor Wei Longbao, the associate dean and director of EMBA Education Centre discussed with Professor Engle, along with alumni in the field of finance.
    It was another trial to build high-end international exchange platform after Nobel economics laureate Myron Scholes. Recently School of Management speed up the international talent introduction and the collaboration with international first-class schools, hoping to foster the talent leading the future development of China.
