From September 16 to 25, The art of delegation, consisted of 60 Chinese university students from Zhejiang University, Tianjin University and Jilin University took part in the China-Russia University Art Festival held in Russia. Under the leadership of Jie Shen, the vice commissioner of International Relations Zhejiang University, postgraduate student Xueshuang Wu, from Department of Physical Education 2012 session of the National Traditional Sports, graduate students of 2010 session Hang Zhao, Lujie Gao, Chaoyuan Chen, major in National Traditional Sports and the other 12 students from Department of Pubic Sports and Art performed martial arts “the soul of China” in both Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia and Belgorod Shukhov State Technology University.
The China-Russia University Art Festival is one of the mechanisms programs in the field of “Country year” and “Language year” education, which has a very important significance in improving the understanding and friendship of people from the two countries, especially for young people. The Festival was held by Chinese Ministry of Education and Russia Ministry of Education and Science.
In the ten days, the Russian assigned a variety of activities for Chinese university students. The first show was held in Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia. A reference titled “Friendship, Cooperation, Mutual Understanding, Facing the Future” was carried out first. Students from both sides held an art show in Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia before they introduced their own campus, expressed the understanding and feeling about the culture of the two countries by report. Delegation of both countries expressed the national culture and mental outlook of university students. The show was received the majority of the audience’s enthusiastic response as well as praise by minister counselor Guocheng Zhao, Chinese embassy in Russia and leaders from Russian Education Department.
The second show was held in Belgorod State University. The local students welcome Chinese guests with the highest etiquette—bread and salt. The Chinese delegation learn the renowned architect and the founder of the school’s deeds ShuhuoFu and flowers to the monument as well. P.M., during the show in the Festival, both delegations offer unique national programs. Impressed others most is Chinese crosstalk and Chinese idioms solitaire.
Such performance provide a perfect communication platform for students of both sides. Perfect performance honor for our country. What’s more, it offered an opportunity for Russia university students to understand Chinese culture.
