On the afternoon of November 4, 2013, professor Tekang Deng, dean of Academy of Social Sciences in Singapore Management University visited Center for Non-Traditional Security, Zhejiang University. professor Xiaofeng Yu, dean of the center held the Exchange and Cooperation Conference. Several doctors and masters took part in the conference.
Dean Tekang Deng introduced the situation of Academy of Social Sciences in Singapore Management University. He praised the research achievement in non-traditional security gain by Zhejiang University. In his opinion, there are many common aspects in research ideas and direction between Academy of Social Sciences in Singapore Management University and Center for Non-Traditional Security, Zhejiang University. Therefore, both sides should carry out academic communication deeply, and jointly held cooperation by aiming at the frontier issues in the field of non-traditional security.
Professor Xiaofeng Yu expressed that both sides have consensus in creating interdisciplinary field for doctors. Thus both sides can strengthen academic communication and joint training for students. In the scientific research cooperation, both sides should held cooperative studies in population aging, energy security as soon as possible in order to gain a number of high quality research achievement.
