On the afternoon of October, 22nd, Professor Phillip Dolan, Dean of the Business School of The University of Western Australia (UWA), together with the university’s two other senior members of the university’s staff, paid a visit to the School of Management (SOM), Zhejiang University. Ms. Li Xianhong of SOM’s teaching office, Mr Zhu Jiping of the foreign affairs office, Professor Yang Liuyong, vice dean of the School of Economics and Associated Professor Yang Xiaolan gave a warm welcome to the visitors.

     This is UWA’s first visit to SOM. Both parties made introductions of their universities and locations, respectively. Dean Dolan proposed to promote cooperation with SOM in researches on both entrepreneurship and the Chinese economy, while Mr Zhu Jiping pointed out that the bilateral cooperation could be initiated with the student exchange program.

     Further discussions were conducted on the details of the agreement to be reached.
