On the afternoon of 20th, November 2014, Professor Jan Fransoo, president of the Graduate School of Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) (Netherlands), together with the university’s foreign affairs director Ms. Karen Ali, paid a visit to School of Management (SOM), Zhejiang University. Professor Wu Xiaobo, Dean of SOM, and other senior staff of the School gave a warm welcome to the visitors.

        During the conversation, both parties gave a introduction of their specialized fields, teaching staff, curricular designing and students pool, respectively. Then, Professor Wu gave some information on the features of Zhejiang Province and its provincial city, Hangzhou, which is label as “paradise of entrepreneurship”, while Professor Fransoo introduced world-renowned high-tech multinational enterprises like Philips and Intel, both being located in Eindhoven.

        After that, Professor Wu and Professor Fransoo signed on the cooperation memorandum of SOM, Zhejiang University and Department of Industrial Engineering & Innovation Sciences, TU/e. This memorandum confirmed future cooperation of both parties in fields like student exchange, operation management, logistics and so on.
