On the morning of September 25, 2013, professor Guoping Chen, executive vice president of AFR, professor Jinchuan Shi, AFR dean and CRPE director met with Paul Stahle, economic Consul of US in Shanghai and Jun Yang at the conference room located in Research Institute, Yuquan campus of Zhejiang University. They carried on deep communication about the development problems of micro finance development in Zhejiang province. Participation of members include foreign affairs director Yin Xu, vice professor Hua Zhang, AFR assistant dean and vice professor Sijiang He, a researcher.
First, dean Jinchuan Shi on behalf of the Financial Research Institute extended warm welcome to the guests. Then he introduced the main research direction, research programs held recently and research performance about micro financial to Paul Stahle. Subsequently, Paul Stahle and researcher Jun Yang rise various questions about the opportunities offered by micro loans business for medium-sized enterprises and the measurement of micro financial services supported by the government.

A topic about the environment development of micro financial system from the aspect of monetary system reformation. Forum participants launched a lively discussion around the micro finance and small business loans as well as micro financial services, which combined with the practice of Zhejiang Province.
