On the afternoon of March 15, Tomas Apple, the president of University of Hawaii and Dr. Chin Yuan Hu, the assistant of the president, visited the School of Management, in the company of the director of the Foreign Affairs Office Xue Fei and Tian Minjie. The associate president Professor Chen Lin, the director of the department of tourism Zhou Linqiang, the vice director Wang Wanfei and other teachers hospitably received the guests.
As the first time for Tomas Apple to visit the School of Management, also a return visit of Secretary Jin Deshui last year, Professor Chen Lin primarily introduced the general situation of the school, and then Zhou Linqiang filled them in with the current situation of the department of tourism, primarily with the engagement with the School of Travel Industry Management of University of Hawaii to cooperate on the project of 3+2. Dr. Chin Yuan Hu indicated that Chinese tourists’ travelling to Hawaii had spouted so intensively that Chinese employees were indispensably in need, and it also provided great potential to the students intern.
