According to the latest data published by Essential Science Indicator of America on March 1st, social science, general of Zhejiang University has ranked top 1% of global disciplines, demonstrating that as the fifteenth discipline entered ESI, the social science, general discipline has entered world-class academic rank.
Based on the latest ESI statistics, during 2002 to 2012, there have been 218 academic articles published on scholar magazines which were categorized into Social Science, General according to ESI disciplines. As the ten years’ accumulation, a total of 205 published articles were cited a frequency of 564, at an average rate of 2.75. Previously, since September 2011, five universities in mainland, they are Peking University, Tsinghua University, Beijing Normal University, Fudan University and Zhongshan University, have gradually entered the ESI.
