On December 6 to 7, International Conference on Value Engineering and Management 2012, co-sponsored by Chinese Institute of Management Science and Engineering, Chinese Society of Value Engineering and Hong Kong Society of Value Engineering, and co-organized by The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and Zhejiang University, was grandly held in HKPU. The conference was the extension of Taiwan Value Engineering Conference, and covered experts and scholars from 10 countries and districts such as Chinese Mainland, Hong Kong, America, Australia and Malaysia. The deputy secretary for Development of Hong Kong Mr. Enoch T.S.LAM was also present.
The topic of this conference was Innovation in the Value Methodology, and there were 15 lectures demonstrating the outstanding research achievements in recent years in the field of the value engineering management, including the methods innovation of value engineering, and the application of value engineering on architecture, public facilities design and product industrial design.
With the assistance of many social institutes, this conference would help improve the international academic influence of value engineering.
