Professor Wu Hua from College of Education Visited British Colleges

 

On November 26 to December 4, at the invitation of Oxford and the University of Birmingham, Professor Wu Hua and Professor Lan Jinsong from College of Education of Zhejiang University visited Oxford and the University of Birmingham, which was a part of the plan of overseas first-class discipline, and also a return visit of Dr. Janette Ryan’s visit to College of Education on November 20.
       On November 27, the delegation paid a visit to the College of Education in the University of Birmingham, accompanied by Dr. Janette Ryan. The director of the College of Education Professor Jane Martin received them and held a discussion on degree awarded, exchange programs, cooperation on topics and projects, and training of principals and teachers, stressing the possibility and strategy of cooperation on 2+2 dual degree.
On the morning of November 29, Professor Wu Hua meet Loren Griffith、Hattie Moody and Nina Tomlin who were in charge of Oxford China Centre in the Square of Wellington. They introduced the current situation of Oxford and the relationship it had with China, emphasizing that not only the liberal arts are the advantages of Oxford, but also the medicine, science and engineering are of great features. Both sides indicated the willingness of cooperation.
 
On the afternoon of November 29, Professor Wu Hua was invited to hold a lecture of Private Education in China: Present Situation, Problems and Prospects, covering the present situation and features of private education, which intrigue the participants.
