On November 16st, Dr. Taco van der Vaart, the director of the postgraduate program of the Economics and Management Department of University of Groningen, and policy officer Ms. Rina Koning visited the School of Management. Professor Zhang Gang, the vice dean of the School of Management, Li Xianhong, the director of teaching management centre, and Zhu Jiping, the director of foreign exchange and cooperation office extended warm welcome to the guests.
Dr. Taco van der Vaart brought the agreement about PhD dual degree program the two school cooperated, since which the cooperation in the program had formally entered the operational orbit. In the discussion, two schools carried out a profound talk about the approaches to the PhD program as well as teaching mode, and confirmed the details such as application deadline, scholarship selection criteria and interview time next year for the students who applied to Dutch graduate program.
In the afternoon, Dr. Taco van der Vaart gave a lecture for the students who had already been admitted to the PhD program next year, and introduced the general situation of University of Groningen, the specific context of this cooperation and the scholarship application.
This visit had laid a good foundation for the PhD dual degree that two schools would continue to cooperate, explored the new cooperating field, and made preparation for the substantial conducting follow-up.
