From October 17th, 2012 to 19th, the three-day lecture series of Professor Bruce Blonigen were held at Meeting Room 408, the School of Economics, Zhejiang University, the theme of which was Economics of Anti-dumping. The vice president of the School of Economics Professor Huang Xianhai host the lectures.
As the chair professor of Philip H. Knight social science of the Department of Economics in theUniversity of Oregon, the senior researcher of NBER and co-editor of Journal of International Economics., Professor Bruce Blonigen has long been engaged in the international trade empirical research based on microeconomics and political economy, and made great achievements in the area of transnational corporation and trade policy, leading himself to an authoritative scholar of anti-dumping economics research.
Starting with the history and current situation of anti-dumping, Professor Blonigen led to the focus of the lecture series: the development history of the anti-dumping research and its future. Professor Blonigen’s speech was warmly welcomed by teachers and student because of its logic, clear thinking and humor.
