EMBA of ZJU and Gothenburg University Discussed on Overseas Cooperation

 

Recently, Dr. Per-Olof Larsson, Director of the Centre of Advanced Education of Gothenburg University, Sweden, visited School of Management, ZJU. WEI Longbao, vice president of School of Management and director of the EMBA Education Center, and XU Weiqing, deputy director of the EMBA Education Center gave Dr. Per-Olof Larsson a warm reception at the Nanhua park teahouse in Zijingang Campus. The two sides had an in-depth discussion on the 2011 EMBA overseas study project.

University of Gothenburg is a public university in Sweden built in 1891. It is one of the largest higher education institutes in Sweden with the most extensive disciplines. Gothenburg University leads the world in research. In 2000, the Nobel Prize in Medicine won by Professor Arvid Carlsson further enhanced its international reputation. In 2009, Zhejiang University EMBA students visited the University of Gothenburg for overseas study and were deeply impressed by the stringent atmosphere and excellent teachers.

During the talk, the two sides exchanged further on details of further cooperation. They decided on the visit of EMBA students of ZJU to University of Gothenburg from May 3rd to fourth, 2011. The visiting group is looking forward to the lectures of renowned scholars on innovation and to visiting companies such as Volvo.
