From November 23 to 25, 2010, Professor Shi Jinchuan, director of Faculty of Social Sciences of Zhejiang University, participated in the international conference on “Transformation of the Mode of China’s Economic Development and Regional Economic Development” held by Korea Institute for International Economic Policy (KIEP) in Souel, Korea.

KIEP is a governmental foreign economic policy research and consulting institution directly subordinate to the Prime Minister of South Korea. Five Chinese scholars from China National Development and Reform Commission, Zhejiang University, Northwestern University, East Asia Department of Heilongjiang Academy of Social Sciences were invited to the meeting, which was chaired by Cai Xu, Dean of KIEP. Also present at the meeting were all the researchers from the Chinese Department of KIEP. Professor Shi Jinchuan from Zhejiang University gave a report entitled “Regional Economic and Financial Development of Zhejiang Province", and signed a cooperation agreement with KIEP on behalf of Private Economy Research Center of Zhejiang University (CRPE).
