From October 18 to 21, 2010, Professor Jin Zhongxu, Dean of College of Education of Seoul National University, Professor Piao Xinghe and Professor Jin Xiangquan, the vice presidents, and Professor Jin Changda, director of the College of Education, paid a visit to College of Education of Zhejiang University.

On the morning of October 19, Professor Xu Xiaozhou, Executive Vice President of the College of Education, extended a warm welcome to the delegation. In a friendly and harmonious atmosphere, the two sides had an in-depth discussion and reached consensus on scientific cooperation, jointly organizing academic conferences, exchange visits, and joint training of students.

At 10 am, the signing ceremony was held in room 520 of Tin Ka Ping Hall. Professor Gu Jianmin, vice president of the College of Education, presided over the ceremony. Professor Xu Xiaozhou said, Seoul National University is world renowned in terms of scientific research and talent training. He hoped that the signing ceremony will strengthen the exchanges and cooperation in various fields and promote the discipline development and talent training of College of Education of Zhejiang University. Professor Jin Zhongxu gave a speech on behalf of College of Education of Seoul National University. He said it is a great pleasure to sign the cooperation agreement with Zhejiang University, which would help deepen mutual understandings and to promote future cooperation.

After the signing ceremony, Professor Jin Xiangxue and Professor Jin Changda made academic reports entitled “College of Education, SNU” and “The development of Korea Education: Review, Challenges and Responses” respectively.

From October 20 to 21, the South Korean delegation visited Jingdu Primary School of Hangzhou, Hangzhou Sailing Education Group, and Attached High School of Zhejiang University. Through lectures and seminars, South Korea professors highly valued the current development of primary and secondary education in Hangzhou.

The contract not only helps College of Education, ZJU to introduce high-quality foreign educational resources, expand our international exchange and cooperation channels, and lay a solid foundation for the advanced education to match international level, but also helps the Korean education communities to further understand Chinese Higher Education, and to promote future exchanges and cooperation.
