On the morning of October 8, 2010, led by Professor Wendy Wintersteen, Dean of College of Agriculture and Life Sciences in Iowa State University, a delegation composed of Professor Hongwei Xin in Agriculture and Biological System Engineering Department, agricultural entrepreneurs Kevin Kimle in Department of Economics, Professor Gail R . Nonnecke in Global Resource Systems, Professor Richard C. Schultz in Department of Natural Resources Ecosystem Management, and Ms. Denise Bjelland, Deputy Director of Global Projects, paid a visit to School of Management, ZJU. Professor Chen Ling, vice president of the department, received the visiting guests at the conference room on the fourth floor. Also present at the meeting were Professor Guo Hongdong, Deputy Director of the Department of Agricultural Economics and Zhu Jiping who works at the Foreign Exchanges and Cooperation Office.
First of all, Vice President Chen Ling extended a warm welcome to the guests, and briefly introduced the schools and colleges. The visiting professors asked about the graduation whereabouts, alumni, college funding, and gave a detailed introduction on the cooperation programs with ZJU. Then the two sides discussed in depth the student exchange, collaborative research and other aspects of bilateral cooperation.
In the end, both expressed their satisfaction with the conference, looking forward to concrete implementation of further cooperation.
