Professor He Wenjiong, Mi Hong, and Chai Xiaowu Attended the Sixth International Conference on Social Security

 

From September 10 to 12, 2010, the sixth International Conference on Social Security co-hosted by China, Korea and Japan, was held in Southwestern University of Finance and Economics in Chengdu. More than 200 scholars and representatives of social security experts from more than 80 famous universities and research institutions in East Asia, Europe, and the Americas attended the conference.

The theme of the conference is “Social Security System Innovation: Opportunities and Challenges”. Professor He Wenjiong from ZJU made a keynote speech “A study on the longitudinal balance rates of the basic medical insurance” in the “Medical and Health Insurance” section and brought this section to a conclusion in the closing ceremony of the conference. In the “General Topics” section, Professor Chai Xiaowu made a speech on “Suggestions to improve pension services"; in the “Asia-Europe Dialogue” section, Professor Mihong made a keynote speech on “completion of new rural social pension based on system simulation method- Policy optimization, mode selection and the pilot advance” and Zhang Yuehua made a speech on “self-perceived health status, health care effectiveness and health insurance needs”. In the “Youth Round Table” section, Yang Yixin talked on the historical debt of medical insurance. In addition, postgraduate Zhang Rongyan also attended the conference.

International conference on Social Security was launched and co-hosted by social insurance experts from China, Korea and Japan, and was held for six times in Beijing, Seoul, Nagoya, Chengdu, etc. It is the most important platform for international academic exchanges on East Asia's social security. Professor He Wenjiong in ZJU has been serving in the Organizing Committee of the conference.
