Dr. Zhou Lijun in School of Education Appointed as Manager of Branches of the World Leisure Organization

 

 

Recently, Dr. Zhou Lijun, deputy director of the International Department of Centre for Asia Pacific Leisure Education and Research (APCL) in Zhejiang University, deputy director of the Physical Education Department of School of Education, is appointed as Manager of Branches of the World Leisure Organization. Manager of Branches of the World Leisure Organization around the world is elected by the Council of Organization. Members of the Council interview the candidates directly and make the final decision for a term of three years.

Branch of the World Leisure Organization is one important part of the World Leisure Organization aiming at helping the residents of the branch-nations to get better access to the education and enjoyment of leisure. The Branch Manager's primary responsibility is to make annual plan to guide the branches around the world carry out leisure activities, establish recreational projects and promote construction and development of leisure branch organizations in the world. Dr. Zhou is the first Chinese appointed as Manager of Branches of the World Leisure Organization.
