On the afternoon of Sep 28th, 2010, six distinguished guests, including Lennart Olausson, the President of Malmo University in Sweden, Ingrid Elam, the Vice President, and Mette Reebirk, the Director of Foreign Affairs of Roskilde University in Denmark paid a visit to the College of Education, ZhejiangUniversity. Professor Xu Xiaozhou, the Executive Vice President of the College of Education, Professor Wu Xueping, dean of the College of Education, and Associate Professor Zhang Wenjun，Deputy Director of the Institute of Curriculum and Instruction were present at the meeting.
Professor Xu Xiaozhou extended a warm welcome to the delegation on behalf of the College. In a friendly atmosphere, both sides gave a detailed introduction of their educational philosophy, academic settings, teaching and research characteristics, personnel training and international exchanges and cooperation, etc. They also discussed in depth some specific issues of mutual concern, such as carrying out the activities of the UNESCO, promoting research cooperation, jointly holding international conference, faculty visits and exchanges. This is the fourth visit of RoskildeUniversity mission to the College of Education. Mr.Reebirk hoped that there would be more students participating in the exchanges based on the frameworks of Inter-school Agreement of 2008.
After that, Professor Xu Xiaozhou exchanged gifts with members of the delegation, expecting that both sides will further their communication and cooperation in the context of international exchange.
As one of the eight most distinguished universities in Sweden, MalmoUniversity was founded in 1998, and excelled in education management and senior training. RoskildeUniversity is located in the city of Roskilde in Denmark. Founded in 1972, it is one of the five existing national comprehensive universities. It is composed of six departments, committed in scientific research and education in natural science, social science, and anthropology. Knut Bergkunt, Director of Foreign Affairs of Malmo University, Marie Brobeck, Project Manager of the Foreign Exchange Department of Roskilde University, and Wei Zhang, Asian Affairs supervisor also participated in the mission.
