August 5-15, 2010, Wu Xiaobo, Executive Vice President of School of Management, ZJU, and Zhang Gang, Vice President of School of Management, visited School of Management of North Carolina State University, Smith Business School of University of Maryland, MIT Sloan School of Management, Babson College, and Kellogg School of Northwestern University. During the visit, the two sides carried out extensive exchanges on international teaching and research cooperation at all levels and attended the first GEP graduation ceremony. They also exchanged views on the implementation of the GEP project in the next phase with Babson College and Lyon Business School.
On August 6, 2010 (Friday), they visited School of Management of the North Carolina State University, and had an in-depth exchange with Dean Ira Weiss, Professor Steven G. Allen, the vice president in charge of graduate programs and scientific affairs and K. Shannon Davis, vice president in charge of undergraduate programs, president of Economics and Accounting Department, and directors of related research centers and research projects. They also discussed other issues such as the cooperation project “Global Innovation Management Master (GIM)” project with School of Management of North Carolina State University and Institute of Business Administration of University of Marseille III (IAE), teacher visits, student exchange, MBA / EMBA / EDP overseas study and collaborative research. Executive Vice President Wu Xiaobo also made a speech on the research and teaching characteristics of the School of Management, ZJU.

On August 9, 2010 (Monday), they visited the Smith Business School of University of Maryland, and talked with the president Professor G. Anand Anandalingam, vice president Professor Hugh Courtney, Dr. Mukul Kumar, Executive Director of the Advanced Training Center, Robert Krapfel in charge of the MBA and master's programs, and Dean Assistant Dr. Michael R. Marcellino. They also carried out in-depth exchange on the “Three School EDP Project”, the “Three School IMBA Project”, and further cooperation.

On August 11, 2010 (Wednesday), they paid a visit to the MIT Sloan School of Management, and exchanged with world renowned Professor James M. Utterback, an expert in the field of innovation management.
On August 12, 2010 (Thursday), they participated in the “Tripartite Coordination Council" co-hosted by China, America, and France in Babson. They exchanged views and reached consensus on course setting, business projects, admission criteria, logistics, cultural tours and other issues such as the implementation of second phase GEP.
On August 14, 2010 (Saturday), they exchanged with Professor Alan K. Cubbage, vice president in charge of foreign affairs in Northwestern University. Wu Xiaobo introduced the economic and social development of Zhejiang province and Hangzhou, and the situations in Zhejiang University and School of Management. He also expressed gratitude to Kellogg School of Northwestern University for its support on overseas study, and also invited vice president Cubbage to visit School of Management, ZJU. Vice president Cubbage accepted the invitation with pleasure, and wished to further the cooperation with School of Management, ZJU. After that, they visited the campus, library, and the Kellogg School of Northwestern University accompanied by vice president Cubbage.
Through communication with the above colleges, they expanded the network platform for the internationalization of the School of Management, and created better conditions for international exchanges and cooperation in teaching and scientific research.
