Swedish Delegation, Led by Vice Minister of Education, Paid a Visit to School of Management of ZJU

 

On May 25, 2010, Swedish delegation, led by Vice Minister of Education, paid a friendly visit to Zhejiang University and the agreement signing ceremony of establishing Joint Centre of Innovation and Entrepreneurship between Zhejiang University and Lund University was hosted.

 

15 representatives from Swedish government and universities paid this visit, including Mr. Peter Honeth, Vice Minister of Education, Mrs. Charlotte Brogren, Director of Swedish Governmental Agency for Innovation Systems, Dr. Borje Ljunggren, former Swedish Ambassador to China, Professor Eva Malmstrom Jonsson, Vice President of Royal Institute of Technology and Dr. Marianne Granfelt, Vice President of Lund University. Vice President of ZJU, WU Ping met with the visitors and signed the agreement of Joint Centre of Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Professor YING Biao, Secretary of Party Committee of School of Management, Professor CHEN Ling, Vice Dean of School of Management, Professor WANG Chongming, and Mr. FENG Hong, from International Relations, ZJU also attended the signing ceremony.      

 

Vice President WU Ping made an introduction to the development of Zhejiang University and reviewed the cooperation between ZJU and Swedish universities. Honeth claimed that the cooperation between Lund University and ZJU was of great importance and the collaboration in innovation and entrepreneurship was fully expected. Later, WU Ping and Marianne Granfelt, Vice President of Lund University, signed the agreement.

 

After the signing ceremony, the Swedish delegation paid a visit to School of Management. Professor CHEN Ling, Vice Dean of School of Management introduced the basic situation of School of Management, such as disciplinary construction, student enrollment and academic research. Both parties were looking forward to further cooperation in both innovation and entrepreneurship.
