On the morning of May 18, 19, and 20, Professor LI Mingfang, from California State University, Northridge carried out academic exchanges with professors from School of Management of ZJU, including Professor XU Qingrui, Professor CHEN Jin, Professor WEI Jiang, Associate Professor ZHAO Xiaoqing, and Associate Professor ZHENG Gang, and Professor ZHU Bin, from Fuzhou University. Some graduate students from School of Management also attended the meetings.
Professor LI Mingfang is the associate chief-in-editor of International Journal of Organizational Analysis, having devoted to strategy management for more than 20 years and enjoying a high international reputation. He has published many papers in top management journals including SMJ and accomplished more than 20 books in recent years. Professor LI summarized 2 key words in academic research after years of hard work: innovation and trial-enduring. By innovation, he said that new and creative theoretical thinking shall be brought into management, and the academic results shall impress and benefit entrepreneurs. By trial-enduring, he said that the research shall be carried out in rigorous attitude and fully convince the paper reviews and other scholars.
On the morning of May 18, Professor LI addressed to the teachers of the Innovation Team on the topic of “Industry Innovation: Towards A Research Framework”, receiving great applause from the attendants. In the following two days, Professor LI, other teachers and students carried our deep discussions upon certain issues of innovation management. The discussions bring in new academic thinking and precious information. Further exchanges are warmly welcomed.
