In order to fasten the internationalization of young teachers from the discipline of social sciences, bring forth the academic achievements they have made, enlarge their academic influence so as to further improve the research ability of young teachers and promote the development of social sciences, Faculty of Social Sciences initiated “New Star Lecture of Social Sciences”.

At present, six young teachers from the discipline of social sciences have come back to Zhejiang University after participating in “New Star Project” which provided them an opportunity to go to world-top universities to join in cooperative research. The initiation of “New Star Lecture” is to display their academic success and boost their influence.

A series of lectures revolving around international academic front issues would be given by the six young teachers from March to June. The first lecture presented by Professor YU Jianxing has been held on the night of March 29, which stimulated great applause from teachers and students who attended the lecture.
